TREATMENT INFO
A small change to the chin can influence the balance of your profile. We’ll help you explore whether chin filler could enhance its shape or definition while complementing your other features.

Learn more
Chin filler is an injectable treatment that can adjust the shape, projection or definition of the chin. It may be considered when the chin sits further back than you’d like, feels less defined or has an uneven contour.
We assess your chin from the front and side, looking at how it relates to your lips, nose and jaw. At Skin Techniques, the aim is a change that suits your face and the result you want. Chin filler forms part of our wider range of dermal filler treatments.
What it helps
Chin filler may help add forward projection, enhance definition or improve some differences in shape. It can also be considered where the transition between the chin and jaw looks uneven, depending on what is causing the concern.
Filler cannot correct a bite problem or change the underlying jawbone. If you’re looking for more definition across the lower face, we may discuss jawline filler. We’ll help you understand whether a change to the chin alone could meet your goals or whether another approach is more appropriate.
If your concern is a puckered or “orange peel” texture across the chin, particularly when moving your lower lip, muscle activity may be contributing. Chin dimpling treatment addresses this movement, while chin filler focuses on shape, volume and projection. We’ll assess the area and explain which approach may be appropriate for you.

How it works
Filler is placed in carefully chosen areas of the chin to add volume or support. Improving the appearance of a recessed chin needs a different approach from adjusting width or smoothing an uneven contour. We’ll explain the change we recommend and how it may affect your lower facial proportions.
You’ll usually see a change immediately, although swelling can temporarily affect the shape. Once the area has settled, we can assess the chin from the front and side and review how it complements your other features.
Our approach
At Skin Techniques, we specialise in a personalised, full-face approach to dermal fillers. You might come to us with a particular treatment in mind, but the area you notice isn’t always the only place we need to consider.
Changes in volume, skin quality and the support around your features can all contribute to the same concern. Sometimes treating one area is appropriate; sometimes a combination of treatments may be more helpful.
We take time to understand what is causing your concern and how your features work together before recommending a treatment plan. You don’t need to know exactly what to book—we’ll explain the options and help you decide on an approach that suits your face and what you’d like to achieve.
Your questions
It may improve the appearance of limited chin projection. More significant concerns involving the jawbone or bite may need specialist assessment, because filler cannot correct these. We’ll explain whether a cosmetic adjustment is appropriate for your circumstances.
It can change the apparent proportions of the lower face, depending on placement. More forward projection doesn’t necessarily mean adding length. We’ll discuss whether projection, length or width is relevant to your goal and plan treatment around your natural shape.
Results often last around 6–18 months, although this varies with the filler and your individual response. We’ll assess how much remains and how your chin looks before recommending maintenance. Further treatment may require a different amount from your first appointment.
Chin filler starts from £390. The final cost depends on the filler selected and amount required to achieve the agreed adjustment. If your plan also includes another area, such as the jawline, we’ll explain the full price before treatment.
