TREATMENT INFO
All anti-wrinkle and muscle-relaxing treatment appointments are subject to a consultation with our independent nurse prescriber.

Learn more
Anti-wrinkle treatments are commonly considered by people who are concerned about lines that become more noticeable with facial expressions. These are sometimes called dynamic lines and can develop through repeated movements such as frowning, smiling or raising the eyebrows.
At Skin Techniques, every client is assessed individually. We consider your facial anatomy, natural expressions, medical history and what you would like to address before discussing suitable options.
You do not need to choose a formulation or decide how many areas you need before visiting us. If treatment is clinically appropriate, your prescriber will create an individual plan intended to retain natural movement and avoid an overtreated appearance.
We offer consultations for a range of upper-face, lower-face, lip, jawline and neck concerns. Treating a particular area will depend on your anatomy, medical history and the outcome of your prescriber assessment.
Some people want advice about one specific area, while others have several related concerns. Your plan may therefore focus on one area or take a more balanced approach across different parts of the face.
What it helps with
Following a face-to-face consultation and prescriber assessment, treatment may be considered for concerns caused or influenced by repeated facial muscle movement. These can include:
Not every concern—or every area—will be suitable for prescription treatment. Lines that remain visible when the face is resting may be influenced by skin quality, volume changes or other factors, so we may recommend skincare, microneedling, skin boosters or another approach instead.

How it works
Before any prescription treatment can take place, you will have a consultation with our independent nurse prescriber, where we will:
A prescription will only be issued if the prescriber decides that treatment is safe and appropriate. You can then arrange your treatment appointment with Shelly.
Where appropriate, we may also arrange a review approximately two weeks afterwards. This allows us to assess your response and provide any necessary clinical advice.

Common questions
Yes. All prescription treatment requires a prior face-to-face assessment with our independent nurse prescriber. Your medical history and clinical suitability will be reviewed before any prescription is considered.
Some anti-wrinkle options are prescription-only treatments. A face-to-face consultation allows our independent nurse prescriber to review your medical history, assess your facial anatomy and decide whether treatment is safe and clinically appropriate. Attending a consultation does not guarantee that a prescription or treatment will be provided.
We can assess forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines, chin dimpling, downturned mouth corners, lip lines, visible neck bands and certain jawline or neck concerns. Not every area will be appropriate for every client.
Botox® is the brand name of one particular prescription-only medicine, although the name is often used informally when referring to different botulinum toxin products. We do not ask clients to choose a prescription product before assessment. If treatment is appropriate, the prescriber will explain the proposed product, its licensed use, relevant risks and alternative options before you provide consent.
That cannot be determined reliably without assessing your facial anatomy and movement. Some clients are concerned about one area, while others may benefit from discussing several connected areas. We will only recommend what is clinically appropriate.
You are welcome to discuss your preferences and ask questions, but the final choice must be clinically appropriate and agreed with the prescriber. We will explain the available options, limitations and relevant risks during your consultation.
Treatment responses and duration vary between individuals, so a particular result or timeframe cannot be guaranteed. Your prescriber will explain realistic expectations based on the proposed treatment and your personal circumstances.
