What are Hyper Realism Brows?

Hyper Realism Brows are a specialist form of cosmetic brow tattooing designed to recreate the appearance of individual eyebrow hairs.

A digital tattoo machine and fine needle are used to implant carefully positioned hairstrokes. The pattern is planned around your existing brow growth, facial proportions and the natural direction of brow hairs.

The aim is a soft, detailed result rather than a solid or heavily made-up brow. This treatment uses machine tattooing and is not traditional microblading.

How it works

How do Hyper Realism Brows work?

Jess begins by assessing your natural brow hairs, facial proportions, colouring and preferred result. The proposed shape is carefully mapped before treatment.

Fine hairstrokes are then created using a digital cosmetic tattoo machine. Their position, spacing and direction are designed to blend with your natural hair pattern.

The brows will initially appear darker and more defined. The colour softens during healing, and pigment retention is assessed at the perfecting appointment.

Our approach

Our personalised approach to semi-permanent make-up

Semi-permanent make-up should complement your features rather than follow one fixed shape, colour or trend. At Skin Techniques, Jess considers your natural colouring, facial proportions, existing hair or lip tone and how defined or subtle you would like the finished result to appear.

Our semi-permanent make-up treatments include brow and lip options, with every design agreed before pigment is implanted.

If you already have pigment in your brows or lips, please tell us before booking. Existing pigment can affect the colour, shape and technique available, and laser removal may sometimes be recommended before a new treatment.

Your questions

Hyper Realism Brows FAQs

What is the difference between Hyper Realism Brows and microblading?

Hyper Realism Brows use a digital tattoo machine to create fine hairstrokes. Traditional microblading uses a manual handheld blade to create incisions and deposit pigment.

Do Hyper Realism Brows look natural?

They are designed specifically to recreate the appearance and direction of natural brow hairs. Results still depend on your skin, existing brow hair and chosen shape.

How long do Hyper Realism Brows take to heal?

Visible surface healing commonly takes around seven to ten days, although the pigment continues settling afterwards. The brows can appear darker before softening.

Do Hyper Realism Brows need a top-up?

A perfecting appointment is listed within the Skin Techniques booking journey. This allows Jess to review healing and make appropriate refinements after the initial treatment.
